Since Italy is surrounded by the sea and sun is in no short supply, most of the salt found is sea salt, produced on the Adriatic in Cervia, Emilia Romagna and Margherita di Savoia, Puglia. Of course my favorite is Sicilian, from the salt pans near Trapani. Will you see flamingos wading in the pans?  Maybe.  Sosalt and Trapani Sale are my favorites.
